Emergency Inhaler for Schools & Nurseries
£150 + VAT (£180 inc)
Since a change to the law in October 2014, schools are now permitted to purchase and hold an Emergency Salbutamol Asthma Inhaler that has not been prescribed to a specific person. This inhaler is for the use of children whose own inhaler is not available for some reason. There are some caveats to schools having this inhaler and ERFA have taken the time to study the legislation and put together a package that covers all of the requirements to enable schools to hold emergency inhalers :
Register of children prescribed an inhaler Parental permission to administer an inhaler Training for staff on administering inhaler Recognition of Asthma
Treatment of Asthma Emergency Kit - Not just an inhaler
Monthly checks of emergency kit Sourcing asthma inhaler supply
Recording the use of the asthma inhaler Informing parents of inhaler use
Emergency Inhaler Policy Instructions for Cleaning Inhaler
ERFA have produced a package to cover all of these elements, with customisable forms and sample letters, a full emergency asthma kit and the training required for staff to administer this medication
Duration: up to 1 1/2 Hours
Cost: £150.00 per course (£180 Inc VAT)
Additional Inhalers or spacers £6.00 - £9.60 each (Inc VAT)
Additional Inhalers with Kit £36.00 (Inc VAT)
