You can book any number of people onto our open courses as long as there are places remaining. If you would like a course run in your own workplace then please call us, we do not charge more to come to you.
This two day course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the requirements of Ofsted.
It is suitable for Child minders, Nursery and School staff (dealing with foundation stage) or anybody wanting a more in-depth knowledge of first aid for children. The practical and theory sessions meet the EYFS Syllabus and include:

We can deliver courses in your own workplace or school for a maximum of 15 people per course; although more than one course can be run simultaneously. Courses can also be split over a number of days if required.
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the candidate and a final multiple choice question paper.
Upon successful completion of this course a certificate is issued which is valid for three years. We also recommend an annual refresher to maintain the skills and knowledge required.

Funding Available
Funding is available for Childminders & Nurserys (Not Schools, sorry) in Gloucestershire from Gloucestershire County Council. Details on how to claim this funding is below:
A reminder that Gloucestershire Local Authority will make a funding contribution towards the cost of paediatric First Aid training for childminders and settings, not schools. On completion of an appropriate EYFS compliant training settings may apply for payment of up to £60 per practitioner up to a maximum of 3 practitioners per setting. To receive the funding contribution childminders and practitioners should email a scanned copy of their certificate which must be from a company providing EYFS compliant training together with a receipt for payment. Email address to be used is earlyyearsteam@gloucestershire.gov.uk
You must indicate clearly whether you are a registered childminder, childminder currently going through the registration process or which daycare setting you are from. Payment will usually be made by BACs during the month following receipt of the certificate.
Childminders currently going through the registration process will be eligible to apply for reimbursement on completion of a recognised EYFS training course for childminders, such as the free GCC course 'First Steps to Childminding'. Please email a scanned copy of your certificate showing completion of the course together with your First Aid certificate plus receipt.
Please note this funding is subject to availability and is no guarantee of future funding.
ERFA Paediatric first aid training is a recognised EYFS training course so you will be able to claim your reimbursement.
